Support Group - Teens (14 - 18)

Join our neurodivergent-affirming support group for teens. Connect with others navigating Autism, ADHD, late diagnosis, and mental health in a respectful space.

Support Group for Teens (ages 14-18)

North Metro Psychological Services is pleased to offer a co-ed in-person support group for neurodivergent teens (ages 14-18) seeking to connect with others over the summer in a safe, supportive, and confidential therapeutic setting.

This group is designed to foster meaningful connections and community among neurodivergent peers during a life stage often filled with transitions and identity exploration. Participants will have the opportunity to focus on their own concerns and lived experiences each week, while also receiving psychoeducation from the facilitator on key topics relevant to teenage life.

Group discussions will include, but are not limited to: identifying and honoring sensory needs, understanding identity, navigating social challenges and the emotions that may arise, handling academic challenges and life transitions, building healthy relationships, and exploring neurodivergence throughout adolescence. The group aims to provide both practical coping tools and a sense of solidarity, helping participants feel less isolated and more empowered in their identity.

Group members will participate in various activities (games, art, and other fun activities) to alleviate pressure that may occur when “just talking” in a group setting. These activities will allow teens to express themselves, connect with others, develop new skills, and work through emotions in ways that feel comfortable and engaging.

This group will be ongoing, with a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 8 members, to best serve each member's needs.
